Best Neighbourhoods for Digital Nomads
Malasaña is the clear first choice — highest density of café-culture venues with fast WiFi, strong digital nomad community, close proximity to coworking spaces, excellent flat hunting for longer stays. Calle de Espíritu Santo, Calle del Pez and Plaza del Dos de Mayo have 10+ independent cafés within 200m.
Chueca is the polished version — same access, quieter cafés, marginally better WiFi reliability at peak hours. Good for calls and focused work.
Chamberí for longer stays — residential character, excellent local restaurants and bars for evening downtime, reasonable rents. Less of the co-working café culture than Malasaña but a better base for actually living rather than visiting.
